After the latest government advise and after much consideration we have taken the step to move Dulverton Veterinary Practice to an emergency only surgery.
This means that all routine operations and appointments have been put on hold until further notice.
This has not been an easy decision to make but the health of our staff and clients is of course very important to us.
We will still run an emergency appointment system for animals in distress/pain or in need of emergency treatment. Please telephone the surgery on 01398 323285. We will also be available to provide regular repeat medications- however there will be slight changes to how this will be provided. Please phone ahead to order all medications so we can take payment before collection and we can arrange a convenient collection time. We will ask clients to pay over the phone or by contactless payments where possible. We would rather not take cash payments. If you have an appointment, we again ask you to stay in your car and telephone to let us know you have arrived. Please DO NOT come to the surgery if you are showing any signs of the Covina-19 virus or you are self isolating. Annual vaccinations will be delayed until it is safe to do them. Puppy vaccinations may still go ahead if needed to provide necessary cover. We can provide telephone consultations for any clients who prefer to stay at home but require advice from a vet. Telephone the surgery as normal 01398 323285.
Unfortunately we have also had to take the decision to temporarily close our Bampton surgery until further notice. All services under the above guidelines will be provided for you at the Dulverton surgery.
May we take this opportunity to thank all our clients for their continued support.
Please take care and stay healthy.

This spring the practice has purchased a multiwave laser machine and we have started to perform laser therapy on a number of patients. The laser is synchronizing continuous and pulsed emissions of different wavelengths to achieve a high peak power without undesired thermal effects. In short: this therapy is risk free for your animal, but can help reducing inflammation, oedema, chronic and acute pain by stimulation of the natural self healing potencies of every body cell.
The treatment does usually not take more than 10 minutes, the owner is staying with the pet and the sessions are by appointment only, once we have worked out the best laser protocol for the condition to be treated.
If you like more information about this, please do not hesitate to ask a member of staff.
